Both its location on the river Neckar and the vicinity to Heidelberg are major benefits to Neckargemünd, which is also considered the gateway to the Odenwald forest. Along with its neighbouring towns Neckarsteinach, Hirschhorn and Eberbach, Neckargemünd forms what is called “the romantic four”.
